Gets the rumble motors that are available on the input device.

Syntax

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

Type: GameInputRumbleMotors A combination of GameInputRumbleMotors flags that describes the rumble motors on the device. Returns GameInputRumbleNone if the device has no rumble motors.

Remarks

Use IGameInputDevice::SetRumbleState to control the rumble motors. Applications aren’t required to check which motors a device supports before calling SetRumbleState; if the device lacks a motor, GameInput attempts to emulate its effect by using the other motors. Use this method when you want to adapt your feedback design to the motors that are actually present, such as when you use impulse trigger motors. The set of supported rumble motors doesn’t change for the lifetime of the device object. In GameInput v3 and earlier, this information was available from the supportedRumbleMotors member of the GameInputDeviceInfo structure returned by IGameInputDevice::GetDeviceInfo.

Requirements
