Gets the number of raw output reports that the device defines.

Syntax

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

Type: uint32_t The number of output reports that the device defines, or 0 if the device has no output reports or doesn’t expose raw reports.

Remarks

Output reports are the raw reports that an application can send to a device. To send one, create a report by calling CreateRawDeviceReport with the report ID and GameInputRawOutputReport, fill it with IGameInputRawDeviceReport::SetRawData, and pass it to SendRawDeviceOutput. Use the returned value to size the array that you pass to GetOutputReportInfo. The number of output reports doesn’t change while the device is connected. In GameInput v3 and earlier, this information was available from the outputReportCount member of the GameInputDeviceInfo structure returned by IGameInputDevice::GetDeviceInfo.

Requirements

Header: GameInput.h Library: gameinput.lib Supported platforms: Windows, XBOX One family consoles and XBOX Series consoles
