UseHC_TRACE_MESSAGE or a level-specific trace macro instead of calling this function directly. Level-specific macros such as HC_TRACE_ERROR and HC_TRACE_INFORMATION compile out when their level is excluded by HC_TRACE_BUILD_LEVEL. HC_TRACE_MESSAGE compiles out only when tracing is disabled entirely.
