XUserIsSignOutPresent

Indicates whether the game can sign out a user by calling XUserSignOutAsync in the current runtime.

Syntax

Parameters

This function has no parameters.

Return value

Type: bool true if the current runtime supports signing out a user with XUserSignOutAsync; otherwise, false.

Remarks

Call XUserIsSignOutPresent before you show a sign-out option in your game. Call XUserSignOutAsync only when XUserIsSignOutPresent returns true. XUserIsSignOutPresent returns true when the Gaming Runtime runs in the game’s process, for example on Steam Deck, where the game includes XGameRuntime.dll in its package. For more information, see XUser cross-platform support. On Windows PCs that use the Gaming Services system service, XUserIsSignOutPresent returns false. This function returns a Boolean capability result, not an HRESULT. It also returns false if XUser can’t query the capability, for example because the connection to the runtime is unavailable. A false result doesn’t mean that the system provides a sign-out UI.
