# XUserSignOutResult

> Retrieves the result of a call to XUserSignOutAsync.

# XUserSignOutResult

Retrieves the result of a call to [XUserSignOutAsync](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xuser/functions/xusersignoutasync.md).

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
HRESULT XUserSignOutResult(
         XAsyncBlock* async
) noexcept
```

### Parameters

*async*   \_Inout\_\
Type: [XAsyncBlock\*](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xasync/structs/xasyncblock.md)

The [XAsyncBlock](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xasync/structs/xasyncblock.md) that you passed to [XUserSignOutAsync](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xuser/functions/xusersignoutasync.md).

### Return value

Type: HRESULT

| Return code | Description |
| - | - |
| S\_OK | The sign-out operation succeeded. |
| E\_PENDING | The operation hasn't finished. |
| E\_ABORT | The operation was canceled. |

Otherwise, returns the operation's completion HRESULT or an error from asynchronous result retrieval. For a list of error codes, see [Error codes](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/errorcodes.md).

## Remarks

Call **XUserSignOutResult** from the completion callback of the [XAsyncBlock](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xasync/structs/xasyncblock.md) that you passed to [XUserSignOutAsync](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xuser/functions/xusersignoutasync.md). The operation doesn't return any data other than its result code.

**Supported platforms:** Windows, Steam Deck, XBOX One family consoles and XBOX Series consoles. To check whether sign-out is available at run time, call [XUserIsSignOutPresent](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xuser/functions/xuserissignoutpresent.md).
