# XGameUiShowErrorDialogResult

> XGameUiShowErrorDialogResult

Gets the result of a call to [XGameUiShowErrorDialogAsync](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xgameui/functions/xgameuishowerrordialogasync.md).

## Syntax

         XAsyncBlock* async

```

### Parameters

*async*   \_In\_\
Type: [XAsyncBlock](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xasync/structs/xasyncblock.md)\*

A pointer to the [XAsyncBlock](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xasync/structs/xasyncblock.md) object that was passed to [XGameUiShowErrorDialogAsync](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xgameui/functions/xgameuishowerrordialogasync.md).

### Return value

Type: HRESULT

HRESULT success or error code.

## Remarks

Typically, you specify this function in [XAsyncBlock](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xasync/structs/xasyncblock.md) as the callback function for [XGameUiShowErrorDialogAsync](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/xgameui/functions/xgameuishowerrordialogasync.md).

You can also retrieve the result by calling this function after `XGameUiShowErrorDialogAsync` completes.
