# MicrosoftGame.config Element - PublisherContent

> MicrosoftGame.config Element - PublisherContent

Declares that this base game supports a publisher-hosted content package. When present, the platform reads the JSON manifest at the URL you specify in the child [ManifestUrl](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/system/microsoftgameconfig/elements/microsoftgameconfig-element-manifesturl.md) element and installs the publisher-hosted content package alongside the base game. ## Requirement

This element is optional. Include it only when your base game ships a publisher-hosted content package.
