# WdCopyDirection

> WdCopyDirection

Specifies the direction of a copy operation.

**Introduced in:** [RIT 0.0.8-Preview](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/release-versions.md#release-versions) (both enum values).

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
enum class WdCopyDirection : uint32_t 
{ 
    CopyTo = 0, 
    CopyFrom = 1 
};
```

### Constants

| Constant | Value | Description | Supported from |
| - | - | - | - |
| CopyTo | 0 | Copy files to the remote device. This is the default direction. | [RIT 0.0.8-Preview](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/release-versions.md#release-versions) |
| CopyFrom | 1 | Copy files from the remote device. | [RIT 0.0.13-preview](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/release-versions.md#release-versions) |

## Remarks

This enumeration is used in the [WdCopyOptions](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/structs/wdcopyoptions.md) structure to specify the direction of a [WdRemoteCopy](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/functions/wdremotecopy.md) operation.

The `CopyFrom` value was declared before it was implemented. Earlier releases return `E_NOTIMPL` for this direction; see [WdRemoteCopy change history](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/functions/wdremotecopy.md#change-history).
