# WdDeleteErrorCallback

> Reference for WdDeleteErrorCallback, a currently unused error callback declared for WdDeleteRemoteFiles, with its syntax, parameters, and severity type.

Currently unused. [WdDeleteRemoteFiles](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/functions/wddeleteremotefiles.md) never invokes this callback.

**Introduced in:** [RIT 0.0.13-preview](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/release-versions.md#release-versions) (declaration only).

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
typedef HRESULT (*WdDeleteErrorCallback)( 
    _In_ WdCopyErrorSeverity severity,
    _In_z_ const char* message,
    _In_ HRESULT error,
    _In_opt_ void* context
);
```

### Parameters

`severity _In_`\
Type: **[WdCopyErrorSeverity](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/enums/wdcopyerrorseverity.md)**

The severity of the message (Warning or Error).

`message _In_z_`\
Type: **const char\***

A null-terminated string containing the diagnostic message.

`error _In_`\
Type: **HRESULT**

The HRESULT error code associated with the message. `S_OK` for warning messages.

`context _In_opt_`\
Type: **void\***

The user-defined context pointer that was specified in the [WdDeleteStatusCallbacks](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/structs/wddeletestatuscallbacks.md) structure.

### Return value

Type: **HRESULT**

Unused. This callback is not invoked.

## Remarks

This callback type uses the same [WdCopyErrorSeverity](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/remoting/enums/wdcopyerrorseverity.md) enumeration as the copy error callback.
