# XblGetScid

> XblGetScid

Gets the Service Configuration ID (SCID) for the application. This value is set during XblInitialize.

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
HRESULT XblGetScid(  
         const char** scid  
)  
```

### Parameters

*scid*   \_Out\_\
Type: char\*\*

The service configuration Id for the app.

### Return value

Type: HRESULT

HRESULT return code for this API operation.

## Remarks

This string is valid until [XblCleanupAsync](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/live/xsapi-c/xbox_live_global_c/functions/xblcleanupasync.md) is called.

## Requirements

**Header:** xbox\_live\_global\_c.h

**Library:** Microsoft.Xbox.Services.142.C.lib or Microsoft.Xbox.Services.143.C.lib
