# HCTraceImplGetAreaVerbosity

> Gets the verbosity level of a trace area. Use the trace macros instead of calling this function directly.

Get the trace verbosity level of a trace area.

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
HCTraceLevel HCTraceImplGetAreaVerbosity(  
         HCTraceImplArea* area  
)  
```

### Parameters

*area*   \
Type: HCTraceImplArea\*

The trace area.

### Return value

Type: HCTraceLevel

The verbosity level of the area.

## Remarks

This should be accessed through macros, such as HC\_TRACE\_GET\_VERBOSITY, rather than called directly.

## Requirements

**Header:** trace.h

**Library:** libHttpClient.lib

**Supported platforms:** Windows, XBOX One family consoles and XBOX Series consoles
