# GetXmaPacketFrameCount

> GetXmaPacketFrameCount

This is a helper function for the `XMA2PACKET` structure that returns the packet frame count.

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
DWORD GetXmaPacketFrameCount(
         const BYTE* pPacket
)
```

### Parameters

*pPacket*   \_In\_bytecount\_(1)\
Type: BYTE\*

Pointer to the packet.

### Return value

Type: DWORD

The packet frame count.

## Remarks

This function extracts the fields in the XMA2packet.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Bitfields cannot be read directly on little-endian architectures such as the Intel x86 because they are laid out in big-endian form.
