# GetShapeSrcSamplePointer

> GetShapeSrcSamplePointer

Gets the current sample pointer.

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
UINT32 GetShapeSrcSamplePointer(  
         const SHAPE_SRC_CONTEXT* context  
)  
```

### Parameters

*context*   \_In\_\
Type: [SHAPE\_SRC\_CONTEXT](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/audio/shapesrccontext/structs/shape_src_context.md)\*

Pointer to a [SHAPE\_SRC\_CONTEXT](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/audio/shapesrccontext/structs/shape_src_context.md) object.

### Return value

Type: UINT32

The sample pointer.

## Remarks

This function returns a pointer to the current PCM input sample.

The pointer is stored in the *samplePointer* member of the [SHAPE\_SRC\_CONTEXT](https://docs.xbox.com/reference/audio/shapesrccontext/structs/shape_src_context.md) object.
