# Configure leaderboards in Partner Center

> Configure global leaderboards for your XBOX title in Partner Center using data platform 2013, including storing and retrieving score data.

This topic describes the procedures for configuring leaderboards in the Partner Center service configuration for a title that's using data platform 2013. For information on leaderboards that use data platform 2013, see the XDK topic **Leaderboards**. For an introduction to XBOX service configuration, see [Service configuration](https://devdocs.xbox.com/services/xbox-services/fundamentals/portal-config/live-service-config-ids-mp.md).

## What is a global leaderboard?

The XBOX Leaderboards is a service that provides the capability for storing and retrieving global leaderboards for XBOX titles. Each leaderboard score is automatically updated by the XBOX data platform to reflect the appropriate values of the score's underlying stat instances. Multiple leaderboards can be maintained for each title.
